3 sticks margarine or butter
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. all purpose flour
2 tbsp. lemon extract
7 oz. 7-Up or similar soft drink (not diet)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 300º. Cream margarine with sugar; add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add lemon extract. Add flour and 7-Up alternately, beating after each addition. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour 15 minutes or until cake tests done.
