6 large apples, sliced (about 5 cups)
3/4 -1 cup sugar (depending on sweetness of apples)
Cinnamon
Lemon or lime juice
Butter slices

Topping
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/3 cup butter

Directions:
Directions:
Put apple slices into the pie shell. Sprinkle apples with sugar and cinnamon. Use lemon or lime juice for extra tartness. Dot top of apples with butter slices.

Topping
Mix sugar with flour. Cut in the butter with a fork. Mix until crumbly. Place over apples.

Bake at 400º for about an hour. Check on pie at 50 minutes. If you don't want to clean your oven, you will put a cookie sheet underneath to catch the drippings.
