3 C softened butter 1½ C powered sugar, sifted
4½ C Flour 1½ C Cornstarch
Nonpareils and or candied cherries

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy, about 5 mins.
Gradually add flour and corn starch

2. Roll into1-in balls. Place 1 in apart on un-greased baking sheets
Press lightly with floured fork. Top with nonpareils or cherry halves.

3. Bake @ 300º for 20-22 mins or until lightly browned.
Cool for 5 mins before removing from pans to wire rack

I have made these in a bar pan topping the whole sheet with candies.
I also have made a sheet and left them plain; marking the sheets with fork marks.
