Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
1 cup chopped onion
4 oz. dried beef
1/4 cup butter, margarine or salad oil
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 - 1/2 tsp salt; 1/4 tsp pepper
2 cups thinly sliced carrots
2 cups thinly sliced potatoes
2 cups water and 1 bouillon cube OR 2 cups beef broth

Pastry for 1 crust

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onions and been in butter. Stir in flour, seasonings. Add remaining ingredients; bring to boil.
Simmer for 5 minutes; top with pastry.

Bake at 425 for 30 minutes, until vegetables are tender and crust is golden brown.
