1 lb. Italian sausage
1 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 28 oz. can tomatoes
6 oz. tomato paste
½ cup water
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. basil flakes
½ tsp. oregano flakes
¼ tsp. red pepper flakes
¼ cup parsley
8 oz. ricotta cheese
½ cup parmesan, grated
1 large egg
½ lb. provolone slices
8 oz. mozzarella
1 box lasagna noodles

Directions:
Directions:
Brown sausage and ground beef with onion and garlic. Add all spices, tomatoes, paste, and water. Simmer for an hour. Boil lasagna noodles per package instructions. Mix the ricotta, parmesan and egg to bind. Preheat oven to 350º. In a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.

Put 1/3 of the sauce in the pan. Then add a layer of noodles. Put dollops of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, then spread. Repeat the sauce and then the noodles again. Add a layer of provolone slices, and sprinkle on grated mozzarella. Repeat last layer of meat sauce, noodles and the rest of the ricotta mixture. Add a last layer of noodles. Top with provolone, then mozzarella.

Bake for 30-45 minutes till bubbly and browned.
