cup canola oil
cup butter
1 large onion, thinly sliced
tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp salt
tsp pepper
4 oz ( pkg) cream cheese, softened
cup sour cream
cup mayonnaise

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil an butter in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add onion, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper. Saute for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes more, until onions are browned and caramelized. Drain and cool. Beat cheese, sour cream and mayonnaise until smooth. Add onions and mix well. Serve with chips or crackers.
