Ingredients:
1 cup very warm water
1 tsp. sugar
1 pkg. yeast or 2¼ tsps. yeast

3-3½ cups flour
1½ tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
⅓ cup margarine or butter, melted
dry dill weed

Directions:
Directions:
Grease or spray (not oil) a 12 cup fluted bundt pan or angel food pan and dust liberally with dried dill.

In a large bowl, add water and 1 tsp. sugar, stirring to dissolve. Sprinkle yeast over and let stand a few minutes.

Combine 1½ cups of flour with the remaining dry ingredients and along with margarine and beaten egg, add to yeast mixture, beating on low speed until moistened. Beat for 3 minutes at medium speed.

By hand, knead in remaining flour until a soft dough forms, kneading on a floured board about one minute, until smooth and elastic.

Roll dough into a 12" x 15" rectangle and cut into diamond shaped pieces 1½" x 2". Dip each rectangle in additional melted margarine and layer into pan, overlapping the pieces and sprinkle each layer with ½ tsp. dill. Cover and let rise in a warm spot 45-60 minutes.

Bake at 400º for 20-25 minutes. Cool for 2 minutes. Invert on a serving tray and serve warm.

Personal Notes:
Someone once told me that monkeys were bad luck. The first time I made this recipe the element in the oven burnt out, so had me concerned HA-HA. Have made it many times since without incident.
