1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Mix shortening, peanut butter, sugars and egg thoroughly. Blend all dry ingredients, stir into shortening mixture, Chill (optional). Roll into balls and place 3 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheet. Flatten with fork dipped in flour to make a crisscross. Bake 10 - 12 minutes.
