2- cups flour
2- cups sugar
1- cube butter
1/2- shortening
2- eggs slightly beaten
1- tsp vanilla
4- T- cocoa
1/2- cup buttermilk (you can add vinegar to milk and make it work)
1- tsp soda



Frosting

1- cube butter
4- T. cocoa
6-T. milk
1- box powder sugar
1/2- vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Put butter and shortening, cocoa, in a saucepan with 1- cup water. bring to a boil. Pour over flour and sugar. Mix well, add buttermilk (or substitute), eggs, vanilla and baking soda. Mix well and pour into greased cake pans. Bake 30 minutes in a 350 oven.


Frosting

Melt together butter cocoa, and milk, bring to boil, Remove from heat and add powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix well then spread on cake.
