1 1/2 cup sugar
2 cup salad oil
2 eggs beaten
1 tsp vinegar
1 2 oz. bottle red food coloring
2 1/2 cup plain flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 T cocoa
1 cup buttermilk
2 tsp buttermilk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 stick butter (room temp)
1 8oz. package cream cheese (room temp)
1 box powdered sugar
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

Cake: Bake 350º

Sift flour, soda, salt and cocoa together and set aside.

Cream the sugar and oil in a mixing bowl. Add eggs one at a time and beat well. Add the vinegar and food coloring beating well.

add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture alternating between the flour and the buttermilk. Add 1 tsp. vanilla and mix well.
Pour into greased and floured pans and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Frosting:

Cream butter, cream cheese in a bowl. add 1 tsp of vanilla. Sift powdered sugar and add to the cream cheese mixture. Add nuts and mix well. This frosts one cake.
