2 ¼ cups flour
2 ¼ tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
1 ½ cups sugar
3 eggs
3 Tbsp. butter or shortening
3/4 cup scalded milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Topping:
1½ squares butter, softened
1½ cup brown sugar
3/4 cup can evaporated milk (not condensed)
1 ½ cups nuts, pecan or walnuts, chopped small
2 Tbsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Blend all cake ingredients. Bake 350º in a 9 x 13 greased cake pan for 30 minutes. Cream together topping; spread mixture on top of the baked caked. Broil in the oven, under the broiler until becomes golden. Serve with ice cream.
