1 cup butter
1 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 T milk
2 tsp vanilla
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 salt
2 1/2 Quick (or 3 cups old fashioned) Quaker oats uncooked
1 package semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Preheatt oven to 375º.

Beat together butter and sugars until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla mixing well. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.Add the flour mix to the creamed mixture. Once combined add oats and chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto baking sheet. Bake until desired texture from 9 to 13 minutes. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet then move to a wire rack to cool completely.
