1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup milk or water
4 teaspoons baking powder
Additional flour, enough to roll donuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar, eggs, and oil. Add salt and nutmeg. Sift baking powder with flour. Add to sugar-egg-oil mixture, alternating with milk or water. Add additional flour if needed, sufficient to roll donuts. Handling the dough as little as possible, roll 1/2 inch thick. Cut into donuts and fry in deep, hot oil until done.
