1 cup shortening
½ cup brown sugar
½ white sugar
1 egg
2 cup sifted flour
1 t. soda
1 t. cream of tarter
Dash of salt
1 t. vanilla
1 package chocolate chips
½ cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening with sugar and add egg, beat well. Add flour sifted with soda, cream of tarter and salt. Mix well and add vanilla, chocolate chips and nuts. Form into walnut size balls and bake on sightly greased cookie sheet in preheated oven at 375º for 10 to 12 minutes.
