1 ½- 2 lbs. of stew meet
2 tbsp. Olive oil
2 ½ c. beef stock
1 tbsp. Worcestershire
1 minced garlic clove
2 bay leaves
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. pepper
½ tsp. paprika
Dash of ground cloves
3 carrots sliced
2 large potatoes cubed
2 tbsp. Cornstarch

Directions:

Heat oil in large pot over high heat. In a large mixing bowl add cornstarch, salt and pepper, stir to combine. Toss beef in mixture. Beef goes in the heated oil and browned on all sides. Now add your vegetables and remainder of the cornstarch mixture, coat and stir until thoroughly combined. Let veggies cook until they start to soften, about 5 minutes. Add beef stock, Worcestershire, bay leaves, garlic, sugar, paprika, and ground clove. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cook for about an hour or until vegetables are fork tender and sauce thickens. Add salt and pepper to taste
