2 to 4 quail depending on size, skin on if possible
½ tbs raw honey
2 gloves garlic - finely minced
2 slices ginger - finely minced
½ tbs sea salt
⅓ tsp chili powder
½ small onion - finely chopped
Pinch of black pepper
1 cup Tempura batter mix
¼ cup water
½ gal extra virgin olive oil

Directions:

Separate quail into leg and thigh quarter and breast pieces.
Add all ingredients to mixing bowl to include quail
Mix well, cover and refrigerate overnight
Next day when ready to cook remove from refrigerator.
Place Tempura batter mix in medium mixing bowl.
Add water to batter, mix well.
Place olive oil in deep frying pan, bring oil to high enough heat so when you place a drop of water in there it boils off. If oil is smoking it is too hot.
While the oil is heating up start to batter quail, once oil is hot fry quail legs for 3 minutes and breasts for 5 minutes.
Use basket strainer to remove quail and place on paper towel. When all is done transfer quail to serving platter.
Ready to serve.
