1 ½ lbs ground beef
3 slices of bread torn into small pieces (½ cup bread crumbs)
1 egg
¾ cup milk
1 small onion, chopped, about ¼ cup
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
½ tsp dry mustard
¼ tsp pepper
¼ tsp rubbed sage
⅛ tsp garlic powder
½ cup ketchup or barbeque sauce

Mix all ingredients except ketchup. Spread mixture in ungreased loaf pan 8 ½x4 ½x2 ½ or 9x5x3 inches, or shape into loaf in ungreased rectangle pan 13x9x2 inches. Spoon ketchup over top. Bake uncovered in 350 degree oven until done, 1-1 ½ hours. Remove from pan.
