2 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons lard softened
1 tablespoon butter softened
5/8 cup milk
1 quart chopped apple raw
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl, mix well the flour, baking powder, salt, lard, butter and milk. Press into the bottom of a greased 8x10-inch cake pan. Mix the apples, brown sugar and cinnamon, and put on top of the dough.
Sauce:
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup of water (add more if too thick)
Mix the sauce ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil and boil a few minutes. Pour on top of the apple mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and the apples are soft
