3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup Karo syrup, light or dark
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla
1½ cups pecans
9" unbaked pastry shell

Variation:
Melt 4-1 oz squares of semisweet chocolate with the butter

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Combine first 5 ingredients until will blended. Stir in nuts. Pour into pastry shell.
Bake for 50-55 minutes or until center is set.
