2 CUPS UNSIFTED FLOUR
2 TSP BAKING POWDER
½ TSP BAKING SODA
½ TSP SALT
1/3 CUP BUTTER
⅔ TO ¾ CUP BUTTERMILK

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425º. In mixing bowl, combine flour baking powder, soda and salt. Cut in butter until particles are about the size of small peas. Add buttermilk, stirring until dough clings together. More buttermilk may be needed. Place on floured surface and knead 12 to 15 times. Roll out to between 1/2" and 3/4". Cut into rounds with 2" biscuit cutter. Place close together on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.

I DISCOVERED THAT USING REAL BUTTER INSTEAD OF SHORTENING MAKES THESE BISCUITS SECOND TO NONE. IF YOU LIKE FAST FOOD RESTAURANT BISCUITS, YOU'LL LOVE THESE.
