1 lb pitted dates
4oz blanched whole almonds
1.5 lb bacon

Directions:
Directions:
Stuff each date with one whole almond. Cut bacon strips into thirds and wrap a piece around each date. Secure with a wooden toothpick. Bake dates for 12-15 minutes on a foil-lined cookie sheet at 400º until bacon is crisp. Drain on a paper towel and serve warm. Prepared dates can be frozen in advance and baked unthawed in a 400º oven until crisp.
