1 box vanilla wafers (crushed)
1 stick oleo (melted)
Filling:
1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese
1 stick oleo
2 c. sifted powdered sugar
4 sliced bananas
1 can drained, crushed pineapple
4 c. Cool Whip (1 large container)
1 c. chopped walnuts

Directions:

Mix together the vanilla wafer crumbs and melted margarine (or butter). Press into a 9x13”cake pan and chill. Cream together the cream cheese and margarine (or butter). Mix in the powdered sugar. Beat 5-7 minutes, and spread over the crumbs. Layer the banana slices over the cream cheese layers. (Ma had a note that she sprinkled some “Fruit-Fresh” over the bananas to keep them from turning black).Then spread the drained, crushed pineapple, then the Cool Whip. Top with the chopped nuts. Chill well before serving.
