2 lb green beans, trimmed/halved on diagonal

5 tbsp unsalted butter

1 chopped pecans

Bring large pot 3/4 full of water to boil. Salt the water, add beans, cook until crisp-tender; 4 or 5 min

Drain, transfer immediately to a bowl of ice water & let cool for 1 min. Drain again & pat dry

In a large frying pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the pecans and cook, stirring often until the nuts
are lightly browned and fragrant, about 5 minutes. Add the beans, toss to coat w/butter. Add 1/4 teaspoon salt
and 1/2 teaspoon pepper, cover partially and cook, tossing and stirring occasionally, until the beans are heated
through, another 5 or 6 minutes.

Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt & pepper. Serve hot.
