2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup shortening
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs
1 (12 oz) package semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. In a small bowl, combine unsifted flour, salt and baking soda. Set aside. In second bowl, combine shortening, white and brown sugar, vanilla and eggs. Mix until creamy. Add flour mixture and blend. Stir in chocolate morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
