4 green bell peppers, halved lengthwise
1 lb ground beef
½ lb Italian sausage
½- ¾ cup cooked rice
1 can petite diced tomatoes
2 cans condensed tomato soup
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp dried basil
salt and pepper to taste
grated Pepper Jack cheese

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cut peppers in half lengthwise and scoop out seeds and membrane. Put in
microwave safe bowl, add a little water, cover and steam for 6-8 minutes till partially cooked.
2. In large bowl combine the meats, garlic, basil, salt, pepper and rice. Mix well.
3. In another bowl mix together the canned tomatoes (not drained) and tomato soup. Mix about
a third of this into the meat mixture.
4. Place peppers into baking dish in single layer. Fill with meat mixture. Pour remaining soup/diced
tomato mixture over the top. Cover and make at 350º about 90 minutes or until the peppers are
tender and meat is thoroughly cooked. Uncover and sprinkle top of each pepper with grated
pepper jack cheese. Return to oven, uncovered until cheese is melted.
