3 cups sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup water
3 cup salted peanuts
2 teaspoon baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
1.Grease 3 large cookie sheet. Set aside.
2. In a large heavy saucepan, over medium heat, bring to a boil sugar, corn syrup, and water. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
3. Set candy thermometer in place, and continue cooking. Stir frequently until temperature reaches 280º, or until a small amount of mixture dropped into very cold water separates into hard and brittle threads.

4. Stir in peanuts.
5. Remove from heat; immediately stir in baking soda; pour at once onto cookie sheets.
Cool. Snap candy into pieces.
