Cake:
1 cup butter
1 cup water
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup sourcream
1 tsp almond extract
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda

Frosting:
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup milk
4 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp almond extract
1 cup chopped walnuts or coarsely chopped, toasted pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º.

Cake:
In a large saucepan, bring butter and water to a boil.
Remove from heat and cool slightly.
Add flour, sugar, eggs, sour cream, almond, salt and soda. Mix until smooth.
Pour batter on a greased and floured jelly roll pan.
Bake for 20-22 minutes.
Cool for 20 minutes.
Spread frosting over slightly cooled cake.

Frosting:
Combine butter and milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil.
Remove from heat.
Add powdered sugar and almond extract. Mix well.
Add walnuts or toasted pecans and stir until smooth. Spread over cake.
