1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups self-rising flour
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Cream sugar, butter and egg. Add vanilla and sifted flour.
Roll dough out on floured surface to 1/4” thickness, and cut in desired shape. The cookies will expand some while baking. Bake on undressed sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes.
Remove from baking sheet immediately.
