3 T. cornstarch
1 c. brown sugar or ½ white, ½ brown
½ t. cinnamon
½ t. salt
2 c. boiling water
2 t. butter
12 apples

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and slice apples and place in a large, greased baking dish. Mix all other ingredients in a sauce pan and cook until clear. Pour over apple slices and bake at 350º until apples are soft. Serve hot or cold with whipped cream.
