5 cups flour
3 tbls caraway seeds
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
2 1/2 cups of raisins
3/4 cups sugar
2 1//2 cups buttermilk
1 1/2. Tsp salt
1 egg slightly beaten
1 stick butter or oleo

Directions:
Directions:
Soak raisins in water for about 1 hour in bowl.

Stir together flour,sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Take 2 knives and cut in butter or oleo. Mixture will look like corn meal. Stir in drain raisins. Add raisins and caraway seeds. Add buttermilk and egg blending until all flour is moistened. Generously butter two bread pans. Put 1/2. In each.

Bake 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour
