1 1/3 c. Pillsbury flour
1/4 tsp. Davis baking powder
1/4 tsp. Diamond salt
1 c. whole milk
2Tbsp. Domino sugar
1 tsp. McCormick's vanilla extract
I mention the brands since my grandmother used them.

Sift the dry ingredients together. Whisk in the milk and vanilla. In a very thin layer of hot oil in a frying pan drop in a scant quarter cup of batter. Fry on both sides until golden. Sprinkle with sugar.
