2 cups self rising flour
5 tablespoons shortening
¾ cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º.
Mix with fork shortening and flour into pea-sized bits. Add milk mix with spoon, just until all the flour is moistened, then stop. It will be lumpy.
Dump dough out on flour covered counter top or flour covered wax paper. Sprinkle flour on top and pat it out with hands until it is about 1 inch thick. Cut out with round biscuit cutter or glass and put in pans.
Bake 20 minutes or until lightly brown.
