1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. + 2 Tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Beat together first four ingredients. Add in egg and vanilla; mix. Add remaining ingredients. Chill dough

Roll into small balls and flatten with a glass dipped in colored sugar. Bake 350º for 10 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet.

Note: This is Sue's Grandma's recipe.
Sue adds 1/2 more flour to the recipe, and uses margarine instead of butter for a crunchier cookie.
