*You will need a candy thermometer*

1lb. butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
2 cups crushed almonds
Foil-12X12 buttered
2 bags chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first four ingredients in pan on low heat. Stir until it reaches 212 degrees. Stop stirring until 236 degrees. Add the almonds. Stir constantly until 290 degrees (until it is brown like a paper sack). Immediately add the baking soda; mix well and pour onto a cookie sheet covered in buttered foil with sides turned up. Spread chocolate chips, melted on top. Let it cool. It takes a while to cool. Turn over and add more chocolate chips.
