4 lg cans tomatoes - puree
2 lg cans tomato sauce
2 lg cans tomato paste
2 lbs ground chuck, cooked and drained
1 lb medium sausage, cooked and drained
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp Italian spice
½ tsp dry red peppers (to taste)
1 tsp each basil, oregano, salt & pepper
2 tsp crushed garlic
1 onion, finely chopped
mushrooms & parmesan cheese (to taste)

Directions:
Directions:
Add the first four ingredients to a large pot and cook for about 2 hours. Then add the spices to taste (I do not measure them!) and the onion. Cook for another 2 hours, stirring every 15 minutes or so to keep from burning. Can add parmesan cheese and mushrooms at the end and mix well.
