Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 c buttermilk
2 sticks butter
2 c sugar
4 eggs
5 c flour + extra when you pat it out
2 tsp baking soda
4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
capfull vanilla
1/2 to 3/4 tsp nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together and chill. Then take off about 1/3 of dough and place on a floured surface. Work in a little flour to be able to work (but don't over flour). The lighter the better - pat out and us a dough nut cutter to cut. Pick it up, give it a twist (it will look like a bow without the tails). I usually work the little donut holes back into the dough and make more. Brush off the extra flour & bake. 350º about 8 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen.
