2/3 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 T grated orange peel
3 T orange juice
2 cups sifted enriched flour
1 t soda
1/2 t salt
1 t cinnamon
1/2 t nutmeg
1/4 t cloves
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, sugar and eggs. Stir in orange peel and juice. Sift together flour, soda, salt and spices. Add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in raisins and nuts. Spread in greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 pan. Bake in 350 oven about 30 minutes or till done. Cool. Cut in bars. If you like sift powdered sugar over top.
