2 c. sifted flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup Wesson oil
1 cup molasses
3 eggs
2 teaspoons soda dissolved in hot water
1 teaspoon ginger
¼ teaspoon cloves
1 cup boiling water
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, oil, molasses and eggs. Beat well.
Add soda and beat one minute.
Add flour that has been sifted with ginger, cinnamon and cloves. Mix.
Add boiling water last.
Beat only for a few seconds.
Batter will be runny.
Bake in a greased 13x9 pan at 350º for 35 to 45 minutes.

1 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons Flour
2 Tablespoons butter

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat.
Add flour and sugar and combine.
Add water and stir until thickened.
Pour over warm cake.
