2 eggs (well beaten)
1 t salt
1/2 cup milk
1 cup flour
1 T melted vegetable shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs with mixer. Mix flour and salt together, add alternately with milk to beaten eggs. Melt shortening and add to mixture. Beat well. Chill thoroughly before using. Dip onions into batter and deep fry until golden brown.
