Cake:
2 cups chopped apples
2 cups sugar
2 1/2 cups flour
2 t soda
2 t cinnamon
2 eggs
1 cup nuts

Syrup:
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups water
3 T butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix apples and sugar and let stand until sugar dissolves. Stir in eggs and then add dry ingredients. Make simple syrup by heating ingredients. Bake cake at 375 for 40-50 minutes. Punch holes in cake and pour over syrup.
