1 can of Shredded Red Cabbage
1/3 small Onion
1 c of Unsweeted Apple Sauce
Salt
Pepper
Bacon Grease

Directions:
Directions:
In a large saucepan on stove, heat 4 T. of bacon grease.
Add red cabbage and minced onion to saucepan and simmer slowly for 45 minutes, stirring regularly.
Add apple sauce, salt and pepper to saucepan. Continue stirring at a simmer for 15 minutes.
Serve as is, or if you prefer more of a mashed consistency put into a food processor and mince. Reheat before serving if needed.
