2 cups milk, scalded
⅔ cups sugar
c flour
t salt
3 eggs, separated
1 t vanilla
2 bananas, sliced very thin
2 T butter
Baked 9" pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Separate the eggs. Place the yolks in a medium sized bowl. Freeze the egg whites.Combine scalded milk, sugar, flour, and salt. Heat in the microwave at a low temperature until the mixture is thickened and bubbly hot. Add a small portion of the hot mixture to the beaten egg yolks and temper the mixture. Add the tempered egg yolks to the hot mixture. Add the butter and stir until melted. Return the mixture to the microwave and continue heating until it bubbles again. Remove from microwave and add vanilla.
Slice bananas into baked pie shell. Pour the hot mixture into the pie shell covering the bananas.
Cool for at least an hour before serving.
Any remaining pie should be stored in the refrigerator.
