Cake:
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 sticks oleo
1 cup water
3 T cocoa
2 eggs, beaten
1 t soda
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 t vanilla
1 t cinnamon (optional)

Frosting:
1 stick oleo
3 T cocoa
6 T milk
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 t vanilla
1 box of powdered sugar

Sift flour, measure, resift with sugar and salt. In a saucepan, put oleo, water and cocoa. Bring to a boil and pour over flour and sugar mixture. Stir as you pour. In another bowl put eggs, soda, buttermilk and vanilla. Add to above mixture and mix well. Bake in greased and floured shallow cake pan 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1. Bake 20 minutes at 350º.

Start making the icing the last ten minutes cake is baking. Add oleo with cocoa and milk in sauce pan. Heat over low heat, do not boil. Remove from heat and add box of powdered sugar gradually. Stir in pecans and vanilla. Frost cake as soon as removed from oven. Cut in squares.
