1 package frozen puff pastry sheets (17.3 oz) thawed, 2 egg whites, lightly beaten, ½ cup butter,
(softened), 1 apple (granny smith), 1½ tbsp. fresh thyme leaves, 1¼ cups shredded cheddar
cheese, parchment paper

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400ºF. Unfold 1 pastry sheet and roll to 9x12" rectangle on a slightly floured
surface. Cut into 9 (4x3") rectangles. Brush edges of rectangles with a small amount of egg whites.

2. Stir together butter, grated apple fine, and thyme leaves. Spoon about 1 tsp. apple butter into
center of each rectangle. Sprinkle each with about 1 tbsp. cheese. Fold 2 opposite corners together an pinch and seal.

3. Gently transfer to a parchment lined baking pan. Brush pastries with egg whites. Sprinkle each
pastry with about ½ tbsp. cheese.

4. Bake at 400ºF for 20-25 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
