2- 16 oz. cans refried beans
1 lb. ground beef (The leaner the better)
1 package for taco seasoning mix
¾ c water
1 ½ c shredded lettuce
1 ½ c shredded Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
2 c salsa

Directions:
Directions:
Spread beans on a 14-inch serving platter or in a 8 inch baking dish

In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat until thoroughly cooked, stirring occasionally: drain. Reduce heat to medium and stir in the taco seasoning mix and water. Cook and stir for 10 to 15 minutes. Spread mixture over beans.

Top with lettuce, cheese and salsa. Garnish with desired toppers. Serve with tortilla chips.

Suggested Toppers: Chopped Green Chilies, Sour Cream, Black Olives and tomatoes.
