1 cup brown sugar ... 1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp.vanilla ... 1/2 cup sour cream
2 1/2 cups pecans or walnuts, kept halved

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugars and sour cream; cook to soft-ball stage, 236º. Add vanilla, beat until mixture begins to thicken. Add nuts, stir till well-coated. Turn out on greased platter or wax paper and separate in individual pieces. Keep in airtight container.

Janice would always sell pecans for the bank where she worked . This is one of the recipes we would always make for Christmastime.
