5 C. flour
2 T. shortening
2 Tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 C. boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt in a larger bowl.
Cut in the shortening to resemble cornmeal.
Add the water slowly, mixing with your hands to make a soft dough.
You may not need all the water.
Knead a few minutes on a floured surface until smooth and elastic.
Add some oil to the top and place back in the bowl and let rest 10 minutes.
Divide into small balls, the size of golf balls, and roll out.
Cook in a heavy cast iron skillet until top is slightly bubbly and then turn over and cook for a minute or two.
Stack each one in a dishtowel.
