1 FOUR OUNCE PACKAGE GERMAN'S BAKING CHOCOLATE
1/4 CUP BUTTER
1 TWELVE OUNCE CAN EVAPORATED MILK
1 1/2 CUPS SUGAR
3 TABLESPOONS CORN STARCH
1/8 TEASPOON SALT
2 LARGE EGGS
1 TEASPOON VANILLA
2/3 CUP FLAKED COCONUT
1/3 CUP CHOPPED PECANS

COMBINE CHOCOLATE & BUTTER IN SAUCE PAN, AND MELT OVER LOW HEAT, UNTIL MELTING OCCURS.
REMOVE FROM HEAT AND GRADUALLY STIR IN EVAPORATED MILK. SET ASIDE.

COMBINE SUGAR, CORN STARCH & SALT IN A LARGE BOWL. ADD EGGS & VANILLA, AND MIX WELL. GRADUALLY STIR IN CHOCOLATE MIXTURE USING A WHISK. POUR MIXTURE INTO PIE CRUST, SPRINKLE COCONUT AND PECANS ON TOP.

BAKE AT 375 DEGREES FOR 45 MINUTES.

COOL FOR FOUR HOURS OR UNTIL FIRM.
