Directions:
BEAT EGGS VERY LIGHT. ADD SUGAR, BEATING ALL THE WHILE. ADD WATER AND BEAT WELL. SIFT FLOUR, BAKING POWDER AND SALT TOGETHER, AND ADD TO THE EGG MIXTURE. ADD MELTED BUTTER. BEAT QUICKLY, UNTIL WELL MIXED. ADD FLAVORING AND POUR IMMEDIATELY INTO OILED GOODY PAN. BAKE FOR 15 MINUTES IN A MODERATE OVEN, 375 DEGREES. TURN UPSIDE DOWN ON A CLOTH SPRINKLED WITH POWDERED SUGAR. CUT EDGES OFF CAKE, SO IT WILL NOT SPLIT WHEN ROLLED. SPREAD WITH JELLY OR OTHER FILLING, SUCH AS CHOCOLATE FROSTING.
