1 red cabbage shredded
2-3 tbsp bacon fat
1 cup water
salt and pepper to taste
1 medium onion
2 - 3 tart apples pealed and sliced
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a large pot. Cook on medium heat for 30 to 40 minutes.

You can add more sugar or vinegar to make it more sweet or sour. If you want it thicker add 1 tbsp of cornstarch mixed in a small amount of cold water and add it towards the end.
